Hope everyone is having a GREAT start to 2024! Some of us kicked off the year with a nice 4-day golf weekend in FL, getting us excited for the 2024 season. Congrats to Zach Poole on coming back the Big Winner, with the accompanying Monkier “The GOAT” as well as some new bling.
A couple of things we wanted to go over in preparation for the 2024 Cleveland Cup season …
1. First and foremost – the post-season survey. After the 2023 Viray Cup, we asked a few questions. Thank you to the 20 of you who responded. The CDAO was excited to report players gave the league an 89 Net Promoter Score (NPS) and high satisfaction scores for the regular season, access to league scores, communications and the season-ending team event. We also heard your criticisms and recommendations. You love some courses and want to see some new ones. The league needs to improve scheduling so that a lack of tee times doesn’t prevent play. And the playoffs need to FEEL like PLAYOFFS. We’ll improve all of that and more for the 2024 season. But, sorry boys, the Putts on Pin-shots rule is staying in place… you want the pin shot? Make your fucking Putts!!!!
2. We are planning a Happy Hour & Indoor Golf night for 5:30, Tuesday, Feb. 27, at The West Bank Golf Club. We’ll discuss the 2024 season, hear more suggestions for the upcoming season, hit the simulators … and if we get a quorum, we’ll hand out the 2023 awards. Separately, we’ll reach out for RSVPs so we can figure out how many bays to book.
PS – We’re accepting members for the 2024 season. As it says in the league rules, “For a new guy to join the league, he just needs two members to say he’s not a complete asshole. That’s a high bar.”
