Leaderboard Thru 1st Month of 2024 Season

In the first month of the 2024 Cleveland Cup season, 26 players submitted a total of 42 rounds.

Anthony L and Lou co-lead the league with 380 Cleveland Cup Points.

  • Anthony L earned 300 points for his dominant performance at Shawnee and 80 points for fourth at Tanglewood. At Shawnee, the 16.8 handicapper carded the lowest gross score (81) and tied for the lowest net score (64). En route to his victory, he hit 3 GIRs while his flat stick propelled him to a three-way tie for the event’s fewest putts (29). At Tanglewood, he took fourth for 80 points. Â
  • Lou earned 300 points for his win at Tanglewood. The 24.8 handicapper carded a 91, net 63. He tied for the most GIRs (8) but, a common curse of high GIRs, he took 37 putts to get home. At Bunker Hill, Lou’s 101 net 77 was good for fourth for 80 points.

Ryan H is in solo third place by a half point with 330.5 Cleveland Cup Points.

  • Ryan H earned 300 points for his tie for first at Shawnee and 30.5 points for his 15th finish at Tanglewood for 30.5 points.
  • The 20.3 handicapper carded an 84, net 64 on 31 putts and an event-leading 8 GIR at Shawnee. At Tanglewood, he finished with a 100 for a net 77 after 3 GIRs and 33 putts.Â

Zach is in fourth place at 300 Cleveland Cup Points.

  • Zach finished second at Bunker Hill and Tanglewood as the 20.8 handicapper carded an 88 at both courses for a net 68 at Bunker and a net 64 at Tanglewood. How could an 88 count for 4 strokes? For starters, Bunker (69.3 rating, 121 slope) was a harder course than Tanglewood (71.7 rating, 130 slope); plus net scores are capped at a net double bogey.
  • At Bunker Hill, Zach had 4 GIRs and 33 putts.Â
  • At Tanglewood, he had 6 GIRs and 35 putts.
  • Zach, who won the GOAT ring on the 2024 winter mini-tour in Orlando, is sporting significant equipment upgrades this spring after getting fitted into stiff shafts and investing in the TaylorMade Smoke driver and 3W.Â

Stetson is in fifth place. The 23.1 handicapper carded an 81 at Bunker Hill for a net 59, more than enough for the win and 300 Cleveland Cup points.

Steve M (3.39 hcp) has the season’s lowest score with a 79 at Bunker Hill.
