Lou, Vince, Dalton and Sam won their Elite 8 matches and advance to the Final Four this weekend at Shale Creek. 8-seed Lou will face 4-seed Vince while 2-seed Dalton takes on 6-seed Sam.
The Vince v Zach match, also known as the Battle for the End of the Alphabet, was especially close, coming down to a single stroke on the net match.
Sam beat Cory K by two net strokes in a particularly rough defeat for Cory K whose posted the best gross score (80) but his net wasn’t quite low enough to overcome the handicapping strokes when Sam posted the second-best gross score (84).
Meanwhile, the Commish and Lou won by 4 and 6 strokes, respectively.
The results bode well for the upcoming 36-hole Viray Cup team event — just two weeks away — with one player in the Final Four from the Red Team (Captain Dalton) one from the Blue Team (Sam) and two free agents eligible for the draft (Vince and Lou).
Players should do their best to schedule a time to play head to head at Shale. Best of luck!
